Library User Rights And Penalties
Borrowers Cards
Any resident of the Town of Berlin may obtain a borrower’s card for Berlin Free Town Library by filling out a user registration card, providing proof of residence, and including email, phone number, street address. Users under 9 who would like a card will need to bring home the application. There will be no restrictions in issuing cards with respect to age, gender, ethnic background, religion, or any other federally protected classification.
Residents of neighboring towns may obtain a borrower’s card issued by the Upper Hudson Library System by filling out a user registration card and providing proof of residence.
Failure to Return Materials
The BFTL is a fine-free library for late items. However, the failure to return materials or to make restitution for lost or damaged items within three (3) months will result in the suspension of all library privileges.
