The Berlin Free Town Library is a member of the Upper Hudson Library System (UHLS), a network of 29 libraries serving Albany and Rensselaer Counties. As a result, Berlin Free Town Library card holders (and members from all other libraries within this network) have access to a huge selection of materials in the shared catalog. We also have the option to borrow items from other library systems. If there is an item that you cannot find in the shared catalog, please notify us and we will request the item though out ILL service.
Materials borrowed from outside of our library through this system are delivered by courier promptly and directly to the BFTL. You will then be notified by UHLS via email or telephone call or you can request a phone call by one of our friendly library staff members. If you are unable to visit the library in person, please contact our library’s director so that arrangements can be made to have your items delivered to you.
